With VOL-VCA self-study via e-learning, you prepare for the VCA VOL exam online. This course is aimed at operational managers, self-employed persons and employees with additional responsibilities regarding safety in the workplace. It is therefore more comprehensive than Basic VCA. The course covers the same main topics as a classroom course, but you can follow it online at your own pace. The term VOL-VCA stands for Safety for Operational Managers. VOL-VCA is a official recognised certificate for managers working in high-risk sectors, such as building construction, industry and petrochemicals. The certificate demonstrates that you work safely yourself, but also have the ability to instruct others to work safely and healthily. To recognise risks and organise toolbox meetings. It is an extension of the standard VCA Basic and covers a number of additional topics such as safety policy, drawing up work instructions and investigating accidents. Finished the e-learning course? This e-learning self-study course covers the same main topics as a classroom course, but you can follow it online at your own pace. The VOL-VCA e-learning course covers topics such as preparation, discussion and inspection with regard to safety legislation and regulations, consultation and inspection prior to carrying out work in order to prevent unsafe situations. One topic is workplace assessment, i.e. whether the workplace is equipped with the correct PPE, safe tools and whether there are specific hazards and circumstances that exceed the norm. Managers in particular need to manage (specific) hazards in the workplace and are trained to do so. This includes risks arising from hazardous substances, risks from electricity and radiation, and fire and explosion hazards. Physical risks such as noise and ergonomics are also covered. You will learn about incidents and emergencies, how to respond to accidents and how to provide first aid in order to achieve an optimal emergency response organisation.
